We have a few things planned for this weekend. I spoke with Mike. Mike will lead a ride from Norwell at 9 AM on Saturday. This ride follows our Coastal Route.
We will have a ride from Cutler Park in Needham at 9 AM on Saturday. This ride will complete 42 miles in the Dover/sherborn loop. We will try to have some more rides with more length as we prepare for the P2P in June.
The Martha’s Vineyard Ride will be on this Sunday(05-29-16). It was rescheduled to the inclement weather.
This will be a follow-the-leader rider for 50 miles. Bring cash for lunch. We eat at the reservation on the western side of the island; this is a beautiful area overlooking the water from a high bluff.
Everyone must be at the Ferry building with their tickets at 9:15 AM. We depart on the immediately boarding ferry at 9:30.
You need 4 tickets. The tickets are valid for arrivals and departures from either Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven.

PRINT A CUE SHEET FROM STRAVA.
https://www.strava.com/routes/4969753 has the new map for the route. This year will be different from the last few years. We will take our time on this route. The difficulty level is not high. There are some bits with moderate traffic.
We will roll into Edgartown. We will pass by the Jaws Bridge on the way to Edgartown.
We will take the Middle road on the way to the western part of the island. This is one of the more scenic spots and it features good pavement.
We will have some coastal riding around the area of the Native American reservation. We will stop for lunch at the reservation.
Please ask any questions. Ask mentioned previously it is recommended that you park on the Shining Sea Bike Path and ride to the ferry building. This will take less time than trying to ride the bus from a ferry parking lot.
We will take the 3:45PM ferry from Oak Bluffs to return at approximately 4:30PM. An earlier ferry will run from Vineyard Haven at 2:30, if we make that ferry.
The facebook update is at https://www.facebook.com/events/820646651396926/. The ride starts at the Norwell High School. The High School is located on South Street in Norwell. We park in the first parking lot after the library. The driveway continues past the library to the school. Look for other bikers!
Each of our rides is lead by one of our members. You may volunteer to be a ride leader. Please suggest new routes. We alternate with different destinations on Saturdays.
We ride in Norwell on the 1st and 5th Saturday of each Month.
The ride leader will be Linda. A coffee stop will be at approximately Mile 22. This route is considered for beginner to intermediate riders.
Any heavy rain will cancel the ride.
Please RSVP on the Facebook Event so that we can anticipate the headcount.
Be courteous to other riders. Help make this your club. Please be ready to roll on time. This is a club ride. The ride is for members, their guests, and new prospective members.
