Hanson 03-05-17

Mike & BillDue to the predicted cold in Halifax and Hanson for the weekend we will keep it to the 30 mile-ish course or 24 miles. The ride start time will be 10AM. We are delaying by an hour to let it warm up. It will be better. I promise!

Hanson Sunday at 10 AM.

Mike

It was a nice ride, today. We had a fair bit of wind on every turn. We went for 24 miles on a different combinations of roads. This new alternative route uses Elm Street in Hanson, which passes the ponds of the WMA Burrage.  This avoided the dreaded Oak street in Plympton.  Although the scenic value of Plympton is great.  It is nice to ride something different on occasion.

Some of us took the southern approach to the High Street hill and others went the back way to the western approach. Surprisingly, my power readings were not too high. The power reading was 174 on the average. So, speed requires more power than wind. I am sticking to that story for now.
Mike was not feeling, well.  We might have the Wednesday ride this week. Stay tuned.
2-26-17 Leaderboard
The competition for the leader board is fast and furious as ever.  The winter does not seem to slow many of these folks.  Brian took the lead on the board, this week.  There was a good ride on Thursday with a peak reaching the 70F mark.  You can find the leaderboard on our Strava page.  Look to the right on this page to see recent rides that have been uploaded to Strava.
