Wednesday night rides @ Cumberland Farms – Halifax
South Shore Bikers will have a new start location for the Wednesday night rides in 2017. We will meet at the Cumberland Farms plaza in Halifax. It is located at the intersection of Route 58 and Route 106. Healthy Habits Nutrition is located in the plaza. They offer recovery shakes.

Our Wednesday rides will start on May 10th. The start time is 6PM. Please be ready to roll at 6PM. If you have road headlights and taillights, then please bring them.
Safety is critical on this ride. You must the follow the ride leader’s instructions at all times. We will travel on quiet country roads but we also will travel on roads such as Route 58, which have a wide shoulder but will contain lots of workers traveling home to their families.
We will meet at the Cumberland Farms plaz

a at the intersection of Route 58 and Route 106. The ride leader is Linda. The ride will be 2 hours in length. The routes vary at the discretion of the ride leader. The plan is to utilize most of the available sunlight.

The tradition continues
We took our annual snow photograph, today. Every year we take a picture to show the snow! The snow was really high this year. The roads were clear. We had a temperature of approximately 35F. So, sadly, the snow is melting. Make sure you join our Strava group! The link to the club page is off to the right.
Most did the 25 mile route from Hanson, today. At Hanson we have a relatively flat route. It takes approximately 1:30 to finish the route. We went for coffee after the ride at the Dunkin’ Donuts.
We will ride next week on January 22. We roll at 9AM, sharp. We meet at the Shaw’s Supermarket plaza in Hanson (470 Liberty Street Hanson).

Hanson Ride 1/1/2017
Due to the technical difficulty of the ride leader deciding to take the polar plunge we do not have a ride leader for the Hanson ride on Sunday. It will be a show’n’go. I suspect that others will show.
Some of us will go to watch Mr. Togo insert himself into the cooling waters found at the L Street Bathhouse. All members are welcome to attend.
