Sun 11-12-17

We’ll ride from Norwell High School tomorrow (Sunday 11/12) starting at 10AM for the 30-mile ride to Scituate Harbor and back. Coffee stop in Scituate at the Dunkin’ Donuts. It’s gonna be a cold one, so we’ll stop as often as we need and not drop anybody. Nothing too fast as wind chill will be a factor. Good luck to us all. 🌬️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

17632156_10155200154709923_7156237476919269744_oWe meet at the Hanson Shaw’s Supermarket on May 20.  We roll at 8am.

We will stick together as a group and travel cranberry roads towards the south coast. We will stop for food at some general stores and covenience stores. This will be a 100 miler designed to get you going for the season. The elevation gain is actually less than the TFCE!

Allison and Mike will lead the 50 miler.

This ride will take time and we will stop at convenience stores along the route. Think of a social ride designed to get the 100 miles. We will aim to average 15 to 16mph. Think of this taking all day.
The 50 will start at the same time.

We will have a SAG vehicle.  Food purchases are on your own.

The tradition continues

2017 snow pictureWe took our annual snow photograph, today.  Every year we take a picture to show the snow!  The snow was really high this year.  The roads were clear.  We had a temperature of approximately 35F.  So, sadly, the snow is melting.  Make sure you join our Strava group!  The link to the club page is off to the right.

Most did the 25 mile route from Hanson, today.  At Hanson we have a relatively flat route.  It takes approximately 1:30 to finish the route.  We went for coffee after the ride at the Dunkin’ Donuts.

We will ride next week on January 22.  We roll at 9AM, sharp.  We meet at the Shaw’s Supermarket plaza in Hanson (470 Liberty Street Hanson).

Judy and Pam get ready for RAGBRAI

Judy and Pam are getting ready for RAGBRAI.  Judy and Pam lead our women’s g13613393_1373208042695138_7464913637469851667_oroup.  Pam works on teaching paceling and ride etiquette.  Arvella rode with them on a 50 mile practice run, yesterday.  RAGBRAI is a giant ride across Iowa.  On July 25th they ride across all of the great state of Iowa.  Judy will take lots of pictures.

I am sure that there will be a picture of their stop in New York, Iowa.  Go to the RAGBRAI website to learn about their route.  They also have gravel route options!
